20 years of success: Quant celebrates its anniversary
20 years of expertise in quality assurance and food safety
Quant Qualitätssicherung GmbH can look back on 20 successful years in the field of quality assurance and consulting. Founded in 2004 as the quality management department of the organic supermarket chain Tegut in Fulda, Quant has developed into a leading provider of hygiene services, audits and training.
From the beginnings to today
Quant originally started out as Tegut's QA department with a focus on inspecting its own suppliers and the service counters in its stores. This included hygiene, pest monitoring and product analysis. During this time, numerous departments such as audits, laboratory analyses and hygiene training (HACCP and IFSG) were set up and the services were also offered externally.
Growth and changes
In 2015, Quant was approved as a service provider for IFS Progress Food and as an exclusive training provider for the Association for Food without Genetic Engineering (VLOG). In 2017, the Quant laboratory was sold to bilacon, while the consulting services were integrated into the Tentamus Group in 2018 and continued as an independent subsidiary.
Another milestone was the relocation of the company headquarters to Martinsried/Planegg near Munich in 2019 under the new management of Beate Heidorn-Thoß. Since then, Quant has continued to expand its services, including the launch of the Tentamus Academy in 2020, which offers online training for customers. In the same year, the bilacon hygiene team was also fully integrated into Quant.
Constant innovation
Quant continues to innovate: in 2023, the Tentamus Academy was expanded for the entire Tentamus Group, meaning that training and further education is now also available online throughout the Group. With a permanent team of 18 employees and a network of 20 external auditors, Quant is ideally positioned for the future.
